Art Painting Lab launches a new community art collaboration, providing expert and amateur artists with a chance to be featured on public murals in the city
With our normal daily routines almost coming to a halt with the global pandemic, people all around the world are seeking new and inspiring ways to keep busy at home. If you’re the kind who likes to indulge your creative streak while keeping safe at home, Art Painting Lab has launched a new initiative to encourage the UAE’s artistic community.
#UnitedArtEmirates invites everyone, artists and amateurs alike, to create and share a piece of visual art with the art community in the UAE. It aligns with Art Painting Lab’s vision to create public murals around the city. The artworks submitted by the public, as part of this initiative, will then be used in these city-wide murals.
These murals will commemorate this time in our shared history and will tell the story of how the UAE’s residents came together to create something inspiring in uncertain times.
The initiative helps create opportunities for more artists to be recognised as well as communicate the importance of art and culture as a pillar that binds societies.
“Historically art renaissances occur during tremendous events and often incredible art comes out of them. We hope you will send us your artworks, there is no judgement, good or bad work. Paint like no one is watching…”, said Sam Saliba, founder of Art Painting Lab.
Art Painting Lab is confident that everyone will take part and contribute – children and adults alike. The institute hopes to receive at least 2020 contributions before June 1, 2020.

All contributors will be personally replied to and artworks will be screened to ensure it is culturally appropriate.
