Bringing together poetry, art and movement, Emirati writer Reem Almenhai and American director Joanne Settle have created a unique production addressing challenges faced by women across the globe. Weaving together Arabic and English language poetry through topics including grief and womanhood, Al Raheel | Departure takes audiences on a journey through a woman’s life from childhood to death, in this must-watch show co-commissioned by The Arts Center at NYU Abu Dhabi.
