The annual Sheikh Zayed Heritage Festival kicks off every year to dovetail with the country’s National Day celebrations and sees locals, residents and visitors alike come together to celebrate the UAE’s heritage. Set in the traditional surrounds of Al Wathba, this year’s festival will run until February 1, with a packed programme of events designed to shine a light on local customs and traditions. Visitors can expect live folk dance performances, cultural displays, activities for children, fireworks as well as food trucks offering Emirati and international delicacies.
