Mexico in the spotlight

The capital’s newest landmark, Qasr Al Watan, housed within the Abu Dhabi Presidential Palace complex, is home to the Qasr Al Watan Library, boasting a collection of more than 50,000 books and literary resources. Currently on showcase is a collection of ancient artefacts and historical treasures from Mexico on loan from several institutions around the world. Running until September 30, the exhibition, titled Codices of Mexico: The Old Books of the New World, sheds light on a number of well-preserved pre-Hispanic codices and ancient manuscripts dating back to the third century.
