Join in the festive fun at Global Village

Global Village is all decked up for winter in Dubai with a 22-metre gift-laden tree, falling snow and a surprise visit from Santa in true Dubai style (on a camel)

Year after year, residents and visitors flock to Global Village for a truly entertaining experience for the entire family. Yet with the pandemic, this year is no different as Global Village remains Dubai’s favourite destination, although the venue is taking all the necessary precautions to keep its guests safe. Have you visited the 25th edition of the fair yet?

Making the venue even more appealing this winter, Global Village is celebrating the Wonder of Winter all month long, encouraging visitors to make the most of the fantastic weather during the holiday season.

As people rush to buy the perfect gifts, shoppers at Global Village are in for a treat with more than 3,500 outlets offering unusual and unique trinkets. And even Santa Claus has made his way here to check out what’s on offer. But the jolly old man has traded his reindeer for a camel (in true Dubai fashion).

Global Village is celebrating the Wonder of Winter until January 8, 2021. The festive fun kicked off on December 11, 2020 when, for the first time, Santa and his entourage arrived to help spread the festive spirit across the park. He will remain a VIP guest at the attraction until December 26.

On Friday, December 18, the park will stage a Guinness World Record attempt for the most letters to Santa in 24 hours. Guests will be invited to send a letter to Santa with their preferred Global Village gift and then Santa will select 25 of the best letters to surprised guests on Christmas Day.

On December 31, families are invited to ring in the New Year at Global Village with their renowned “around the world” New Year’s Eve fireworks. Then until January 8, guests are invited to discover the traditions and culture of Russian Christmas at the new Russian Pavilion.
