One of the first contemporary arts institutions in Dubai, Jameel Arts Centre opened its doors in November last year. A hub for creativity, educational initiatives and cultural events, the centre boasts solo and group exhibitions and curated commissions by artists from the region and around the world. Home to multiple gallery spaces and a library dedicated to artists and cultural movements of the Arab world, this stunning venue by Jaddaf Waterfront is a great destination for enthusiasts looking to get their art and culture fix. Currently on display at the centre is a series of inspiring works by artists Seher Shah, Randhir Sing, Hemali Bhuta and Farah Al Qasimi, inviting visitors to explore philosophical understanding, issues concerning individuality and cultural conditioning. One, in particular, to keep an eye out for is Al Qasimi’s photographic works that paint a picture of life in the UAE.
