Experience a traditional iftar in Dubai with Platinum Heritage

This Ramadan take a trip back in time and enjoy a sumptuous sunset feast in the heart of the Arabian desert. Visitors are welcome to travel to Dubai during Ramadan – in fact, it can be one of the best times to visit the city and a wonderful opportunity to join in the lavish iftar buffets and celebrations that occur every evening. One of the most authentic ways to experience iftar is in the middle of the desert, with Platinum Heritage offering a look back at how the region celebrated Ramadan over 50 years ago. Hop into a 1950s vintage Land Rover for a wildlife drive through the desert, before arriving at an authentic Bedouin camp nestled in a royal desert retreat.

Under the starry Arabian night sky, enjoy a traditional iftar of lamb ouzi, lentil soup, grilled mince beef kofta and many more delicious dishes. Listen to stories from local Bedouins about the UAE’s cultural heritage and learn a little more about the holy month of Ramadan. Spend the evening discovering Dubai’s bygone years with cultural activities such as henna painting, an expert falconry demonstration, camel rides as well as traditional bread and Arabic coffee-making.

All through Ramadan, Platinum Heritage are also offering a complimentary astronomy session. Learn more about the Arabian night sky with a professional astronomer who tells you tales about the stars and how the Bedouins used them for storytelling and navigation. Starting from May 17 throughout the month of Ramadan, it is an experience not to be missed. 04 4409827
