The stage is set for one of the world’s biggest sporting and social events. World Cup fever is in the air. Top jockeys from across the globe and the world’s best thoroughbreds are getting ready to vie for one of the biggest purses in horse racing history. While the Dubai World Cup Carnival officially kicked off on January 5, 2017, the who’s who of Dubai, seasoned race-goers, equestrian enthusiasts and trackside fashionistas will come together as racing season culminates with the much-anticipated Dubai World Cup on March 25, 2017. Held at the Meydan Racecourse, within the glamorous setting of The Meydan Hotel, the event promises first-class horse racing entertainment coupled with the very best in hospitality.

The Dubai World Cup has held the mantle of the world’s richest horse race since 2010 with a total prize purse of US$30 million. The victor alone walks away with a whopping US$10 million. Now in it’s 22nd year, the event remains a crown jewel not only on the city’s sporting calendar but also on the global stage. The line up for 2017 brings together the best of the best from 22 different countries with the world’s most prominent racing yards, trainers, jockeys and thoroughbreds competing for victory.

It pays tribute to the equestrian sport, an integral aspect of Emirati heritage and culture. And as these fine creatures prepare to battle it out on the track, race-goers can get ready for an incredible hospitality treat at the venue.
