Sharjah’s 15-year landmark restoration project, Heart of Sharjah, has infused new life into the birthplace of the emirate. Designed to mirror Sharjah in the 1950s with contemporary touches, visitors can take a journey through history and explore traditional houses, souks and forts. The site is still a work in progress and upon completion in 2025, will also feature art galleries, archaeological sites and museums. Walking tours around the newly-restored Al Hisn Fort are popular at the site.
