November is an exciting time for creativity in the UAE. This month sees the long-awaited launch of Jameel Arts Centre Dubai, a new contemporary art gallery near Dubai Creek. In honour of the opening, Kuwait-based artists Alia Farid and Aseel Al Yaqoub have created an immersive installation for the site. Entitled Contrary Life: A Botanical Light Garden Devoted to Trees, it explores our relationship with the natural world.
