From December 17 to 21, thousands of spectators will flock to Khalid Lagoon in Sharjah to witness sleek catamarans racing through the waters, competing for the UIM F1H2O World Championship. With sailors clocking in speeds of up to 220 kilometres per hour on the straights and 140 kilometres per hour on hairpin turns, the nail-biting action is sure to keep visitors glued. The three-day event – the flagship international series of single-seater inshore circuit Formula 1 Powerboat Racing – is free to attend. Spectators can view the action from the many vantage points dotted around the lagoon.
