Ramadan draws to a close this month with Eid Al Fitr, also known as ‘the festival of the breaking of the fast’, expected to fall on June 3. It marks the end of the holy month and the beginning of the month of Shawwal on the Islamic calendar. Eid Al Fitr is always an exciting time in the emirates with the event being marked by family feasts, traditional performances and lively celebrations in communities across the UAE.
