A magical Middle Eastern food tour around Old Dubai

Beyond Dubai’s record-breaking skyscrapers, grand malls and world famous attractions lies one of it’s lesser-known achievements – preserving a diversity of flavours from all across the globe. Not very many metropolises can boast such a delectable blend of cuisines, both mainstream and unconventional, all in one land. Explore and savour Egyptian, Emirati, Iranian, Lebanese and Palestinian specialties without leaving the city by embarking on a ‘Middle Eastern Food Pilgrimage’ with Frying Pan Adventures. Book yourself into the next culinary tour through Old Dubai’s meandering lanes as your taste buds journey through five tastings of authentic Middle Eastern fare.

If you’ve grown attached to Middle Eastern food, you miss the familiar flavours of home or would simply like to digest the local culture, the experience is ideal. The Middle Eastern Food Pilgrimage takes you through the backstreets of Deira to sample everything from Emirati meat to Lebanese baklava. Make sure you strap on a comfortable pair of shoes; you’ll be walking in between bites. And with the weather finally cooling down, we frankly can’t think of a better time than now to indulge in the city’s gastronomic treasures.

The evening’s highlights include pastries oozing with cheese, crispy falafels stuffed with flavourful greens, spiced meat, pistachio sprinkled ice cream and so much more. Every savoury dish is accompanied by authentic sides and dips including tahini and hummous. But that’s not all there is to this exciting tour! You can also enjoy an entertaining serving of culinary tales and gastronomic trivia from your tour guide as well as mini demonstrations in falafel making.

Now there’s going to be a lot of walking on this four-hour food tour. But with the delectable flavours keeping your taste buds occupied, you’ll hardly notice the distance. In fact, you’ll savour every minute of this one-of-a-kind gourmet experience and want to keep coming back for more. And it’s certainly a great way to indulge guilt free!

Frying Pan Adventures also offers an Indian food trail, 'Little India on a Plate', that highlights vibrant and flavourful treats inspired by India’s kitchens with five food tastings. You can alternatively opt for bespoke food and culture experiences for private events, groups, delegations, incentive trips and corporate delegations with activities such as foodie treasure hunts and cooking contests.
